Gateway Healthcare is a nonprofit medical practice that provides affordable primary care and limited urgent care to all but specifically exists to care for the uninsured, underinsured, and those with barriers to quality healthcare.

how gateway started

Established 2022

Gateway Healthcare started based on a great need in the Midland community. Executive Director, Ed Doerner, was at The Bridge Food Center when a shopper explained that she had to choose between food and medicine. Doerner was then inspired to pilot a solution that would provide affordable healthcare.

who does gateway serve

Got insurance? Great. No insurance? Great.

Gateway Healthcare is a clinic for the community, in Midland County and beyond. While we primarily serve the uninsured, underinsured, and those who face barriers to quality healthcare we welcome all to become new patients at our clinic.

generosity inspired healthcare

Everyone has a role to play in healing, whether as a patient or as a supporter. Your generosity has a substantial and direct impact on the community. Choose where your dollar goes - general or patient fund.

Gateway Explained

We decided to book an appointment at Gateway Health for our son’s sports physical. [...] The practice staff explained their policies and procedures prior to our appointment. The staff took a good background and the doctor was kind and made my son feel comfortable. The facility is clean, warm and welcoming. I would recommend Gateway Healthcare to anyone looking for quality care.
